  Monday, May 15    RACE 5   BEST PLAY  9- Riding On a Winner was narrowly defeated in her Lakes return going a shorter distance on May 2. Faces a similar field here and gets an extra furlong to score the victory.  RACE PACE  Strong Alpha is expected to set pace from her inside draw.  TRENDS  Speed and stalkers dominated last Monday but the track played fairer on Tuesday.   ANGLES  The 4.5-furlong distance was the culprit for why this mare got defeated in her Finger Lakes return.  Start a Daily Double on races 5 and 6.  The play is the 9 over to 7-8-9.  FGL MEET: 4-2-0-1 (+$3.60)

  Monday, May 8    RACE 7   BEST PLAY  2- Lockbox figures to be a tough one to get by in the 7th race. She ran well to be 2nd against a better rival on Opening Day.  RACE PACE  If Lockbox breaks well she should be with pace from her inside post.   TRENDS  Front runners continue to dominate at the abbreviated early season distances.   ANGLES  Has plenty of fitness competing throughout the Winter at Aqueduct.   Late Daily Double play.  2-Lockbox over to horses 2-6-8 in the last.  FGL MEET: 2-1-0-0 ($3.00) through 5/2         

  Tuesday, May 2    RACE 3   BEST PLAY  # 3 Misbehaved is the horse to beat in race 3. He has a class edge on his bottom level claiming rivals.  RACE PACE  #1 Uncle Vic and #2 Smart Storm should provide the early pace for Misbehaved to run at.  TRENDS  The track played fair for the most part, as expected due to short 4-1/2 furlong distance front speed dominated going 11 for 16.   ANGLES  The big class drop too large to ignore.   Tuesday, April 25    RACE 8   BEST PLAY  #4 Magnificent Chrome drops into a soft spot after sparring with open 10k claimers in New York.  Looks to conclude the card with a victory due to significant class edge.   RACE PACE  Has enough tactical speed to be with the early pacesetters. May even get lead vs slower group.  TRENDS  N/A   ANGLES  Has never been in this cheap and has good early for this distance, which makes him a big win threat.  Single in late pick-4 start that starts in the 5th race and looks like to solid win-place wager.
