A seemingly average AOC for 3up at 1-mile on the main track.
Pace
It doesn’t look overly heated early, as there aren’t many true speed horses signed on, so being able to lay close seems imperative.
Trends
The main track had a very forward feel to it Tuesday and Wednesday, so continue to follow how the week progresses, as things have been known to be a paved speedy highway on the dirt during Derby Week, and especially Derby Day.
Best Play
#7 RESILIENCE (7-2): G2 winning 3yo hasn’t been out since a no-show in the Belmont in June, but he’s training huge with a slew of bullets, which means he’s a bigger, stronger, and faster 4yo, and while this is just a starting off point, there’s a good chance it won’t matter and that he’s simply better than these, especially since one of his main rivals (#10) is another entering off a long layoff.
Bet Types
Aggressive WP and single in all the horizontal exotics as well.
