“PLAY of the DAY” by Brian Nadeau

Date  10/16/26

Featured track  Keeneland

Race number  9

Race overview  A deep and competitive 25k claimer for 3up at 6 ½ furlongs.

Pace  For a full sprint field, there’s not really much on paper, so the ability to lay close seems imperative.

Trends  The main track was playing forward up to Saturday, then the rains hit and it was muddy/sealed, so monitor things early in the week.

Best Play  #1 TUSKEGEE AIRMEN (4-1): Stiff class dropper was claimed by trainer-owner Jacobson two-back for 50k, so the fact he’s in for half that isn’t ideal, but this is also a barn that isn’t afraid to drop to win, and if he does so and is claimed, he’s out as well, so let’s take it at face value, as this is a great spot to get untracked.

Bet Types    Aggressive WP bet, and a must-use/leverage single in the late Pk5/Pk4 as well.

Play of the Day Winners  Kee Meet: 77-17-12-7 ($1.69/$4.93 ROI through 10/11)

Kee POD: 5-1-0-1 ($1.21/$2.98 ROI through 10//11).
